The website is good but it is very expensive for a student. I would have appreciated if I could have got some refund or discount on this purchase.

Blurry Textbook

My entire Anatomy textbook was blurry as if they took a screenshot of every page and sent it through so many forms (. Png, pdf, etc.) until it got blurry. I could not read a single word and could not: copy or paste, no highlighting, couldn't download the textbook, you could barely zoom in. I requested a refund, I guess you do get what you pay for. The only reason I made the purchase was because it's the only E-book version of this Textbook that I could find and I didn't want a hardcover. Not worth it, I don't know why they have good reviews, am I the only one this has happened to?

The site is good but you need to be available for troubleshooting more often, such as a chat that is human 5 days a week until 10 pm Students often work late and have issues. For example, my e-reader doesn't work properly and I tried to submit a ticket and could not because that was not working either. Just saying... I had to order a copy of the book because my digital copy is not functioning.

Most of the time my textbooks are available on RedShelf

Most of the time my textbooks are available on RedShelf. I like to have them in one spot, and with the rentals so I'm not spending a lot of money on things I'll use for a semester. I do wish I could choose by month my rentals, because sometimes I only need them for 2 months and I have to rent them for longer.

Q:

Would I be able to download the pdf to my computer/USB instead of the browser? Or is that the only option avaible on RedShelf?

Answer This Question

Q:

What made you choose RedShelf over similar businesses?

A:

The prof of the class required we use this godawful site for our textbooks. Obviously, having a PhD doesn't mean someone is wise enough to look at reviews first.

by Reginald919 - September 11, 2020

A:

Was only available option for electronic book. Next time I will simply drop the class rather than deal with this miserable cash grab.

It is legit but what they offer is borderline scam for anybody using their book for student or instructor purposes.

Q:

Hello, I would like to get some more information about renting a book from Redshelf how can i get some help? I have assignment due tomorrow and would like to make a purchase today. Please let me know who can help me answer my queries. Thank You

A:

Good luck. I've been trying to read a single chapter with only 40 pages for over 10 hours. The $#*! refuses to load pages in a timely manner.

A:

Dont do it. As a student I can tell you that unless you are using your book for reference and nothing more (i. E. coding or otherwise) and have a NASA computer to run this laggy mess, find your book in other fashions as you are not able to actually download the book in its entirety and have to be online in order to view it.
